Vision
Bagonvu Foundation is a non-denominational Christian non-profit organization dedicated to significantly improving the lives of elderly women and orphans in Uganda. Founded in 2013, we were inspired by the profound need to address the impact of the HIV/AIDS pandemic, which left many elderly without support and children orphaned. Our mission is to provide critical support through advocacy, education, and the promotion of self-reliance within communities.
The need to care for the elderly is paramount. Many seniors in Uganda face neglect, health issues, and isolation due to the loss of their families. Our programs, such as the O.A.S.I.S Fellowship, aim to foster their spiritual and holistic well-being, ensuring they receive the care and companionship they deserve. We provide essential services, including health check-ups, emotional support, and festive celebrations, which uplift their spirits and create a sense of belonging.
Education is another cornerstone of our mission. By supporting orphans and vulnerable children through our Education Program, we ensure they have access to quality education and the resources needed for their academic success. This initiative not only equips them with the tools for a brighter future but also empowers them to break the cycle of poverty and contribute positively to their communities.
Intergenerational connectivity is at the heart of Bagonvu Foundation's approach. Programs like Neighborhood Kin bridge the gap between generations, fostering mutual respect and understanding. Youths visit elderly homes, engage in meaningful interactions, and provide practical help, creating a supportive and caring community. These efforts ensure that both the young and the elderly feel valued, respected, and connected, reflecting our commitment to holistic community development.

Through our efforts, we strive to create a society rooted in faith, compassion, and mutual care.
